Building

Painting outdoors during the summer months along the Chesapeake Bay, afternoon storms can pop up dramatically, and suddenly become the subject of my paintings. I’m always drawn to the sky. Particularly the ever changing clouds. For “Building”, I was witness to a quickly growing storm arriving over the water. I worked quickly to capture the drama before it arrived. The strong abstract design of the large cloud shape is center stage.
