This was painted from plein air watercolor studies and photo reference of the Menton, France harbor in the beautiful golden light of late afternoon as the sun was starting to set. I loved the tanned bodies, casual laid back atmosphere of this small village on the border of France and Italy. The mountains shown to the left are Italian. You can actually walk to Italy from this town!
